Visual Research of tridents

 

Above I had a look at tridents for visual reference as one of my pieces is a Trident for my main character.  Tridents are a mythical historic weapon used under the water they are usually long with three separate pointy sharp ends.  this was only a simple visual research on Tridents to help me one creating my own.  it is clear that most tried-ins look the same therefore I will not be changing it that much however the tridents that do look different have slightly different sharp ends. 

A brief history on tridents it is said to have been ancient Greek gods Poseidon's Weapon that was used to create sources of water it is said to have been forged by cyclopses Poseidon is said to have been able to create seas out of rocks using this mythical weapon. 

Below is brief sketches of different trident shapes that I brainstormed from the visual references, I will develop one of these tridents my final piece.
